Born in Dezhou, China in 1984, Hong Liang currently lives and works in Huizhou. She holds both BA and MA degrees in Painting from Nankai University. Her practice centres on poetic floral and still-life subjects. Rooted in refined traditional brushwork, her artistic language synthesises classical Chinese painting aesthetics with contemporary visual perspectives.

Her creations have featured in curated international group exhibitions across France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Turkey, Canada and the United States, and have been published in numerous specialist art journals worldwide. Hong Liang is a recipient of Silver and Bronze Awards at the Hong Kong Youth Arts Awards, as well as an Artist Grant from the UK Sputnik Organization. She has completed an artist residency at CCVA, Birmingham City University, and regularly leads professional masterclasses dedicated to Chinese floral painting throughout the UK.
